New “CMP Ecosystem” Website
This website was developed by Srikar Rallapalli (a second year student in the AM class), along with some help from students in the afternoon class.
This site exists to help build an environment for students of ECTS Computer Programming to share their experiences and help to support an environment of learning and professional development.
The logo and header background was created by Zeph Burek of the AM class

Personal projects
Students who get their work done early are allowed to go and work on personal projects. Some students have begun working in game engines like the Unreal engine, others have been working to learn python on their own time.

The bounty system
Bounties are small additional jobs/tasks that students can do to earn points to put towards other assignments. Read the whole thing here.
Free day Friday
This idea is conceptually related to “google’s 20% rule“.
At the beginning of each week students will be allocated 10 points, which will be deducted for misbehavior. However, if they manage to retain at least one point until Friday, they will be rewarded with a “Free Day Friday” where they can work on any project of their choice for the entire day or use the time to get caught up.
