I worked on this JavaScript game throughout a weeks time as a personal project after moving on from the video as a class after a sub-day. While I am not a huge fan of videos through learning, being able to work on this project on the side made it more enjoyable and let my attention span reset and grow. The instructor in the video kept the talking consist and I enjoyed both the layout and breakdown into chapters. The video is two and half hours long, so I recommend taking breaks and not committing more than two hours a day.

This tutorial came with a folder of resources along with used the languages JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. This game explores an alien planet with sprite animation with backgrounds. There are five enemy types as well as your player is able to re-charge through a power up in a specific fish/enemy type. Using the up and down arrows, you move your player, and pressing the space bar shoots the ammo. By pressing the “D” key you can view debug mode. There are layers to the background found in the resources folder and for now this game is not compatible on phones or iPads.

Let me know if there are any questions!
